When the moon is full, I believe it is at its' biggest and brightest, a time of culmination with a promise of illuminated fulfillment. I see this phase as a Celebration! Tonight, we will take the opportunity to celebrate our growth by honoring our true authentic expression. This Virgo Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between work and play, practicality and impracticality, criticism and acceptance. As a Kaula (community) we hold space for one another to not sit on our feelings, instead choosing to express them and let things out of our system. Even if this means what we release is not rational. Through guided movement, I will offer you tools and techniques to find a balance between your day-to-day obligations, the need for physical and spiritual health, and the infinite possibilities you desire! No Dance Experience is required, just an open mind to explore spiritual and intuitive development. We will end the night with grounding journal prompts to sit in reflection to gain self-awareness. Please wear layers and bring a water bottle and your favorite journal if you have one if not one will be provided. I can't wait to manifest on the moon with you!

FAQs

What if i'm running Late to class?

Latecomers will not be admitted into class for safety reasons. To miss the warmup portion of your class you are at higher risk to be injured. *Please call us if you think you will be late. You will not be allowed to take the class if you are more than 5 minutes late.

How many people are there in class?

It varies from week to week and class to class. Generally, the beginner classes are larger (as many as 18 people), particularly in classes like Hip Hop.

Am I allowed to bring my children with me while i take class?

Please do not bring your children to class. We are not responsible for looking after your children nor are they allowed to sit in class while you take it.

How are the classes structured?

All of the classes start with some kind of warm-up exercises. For example, in ballet, you start at the barre. After the warm-up, you work on short combinations of steps and moves and finally, a choreographed combination that changes week to week.

Where should I park?

There are paid parking lots on either side of Granville Street, south of Nelson Street, and there is metered street parking after 6 pm. We are well served by transit as well.
