Q: What if I'm afraid of getting injured during training?

While there is always a risk of injury in any physical activity, our instructors prioritize safety and take precautions to minimize the risk of injury. We also encourage students to listen to their bodies and communicate any concerns or injuries to their instructors.

Q: What if I'm afraid of not being good enough or making mistakes?

It's normal to feel intimidated or uncertain when starting something new, but everyone starts as a beginner. Our instructors provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where students can learn and grow at their own pace.

Q: What if I'm afraid of the unknown or unfamiliar environment of martial arts training?

We understand that trying something new can be intimidating, but we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where students can feel comfortable and supported. Our instructors and community are always happy to answer any questions and help new students feel at home.

Q: How often should I train and for how long?

If you train regularly, you will make progress. We have students who train once a week and others who train almost daily. We recommend that students train at least two to three times a week to make steady progress and see results.

Q: What equipment do I need to get started?

To get started, you will need a uniform (gi), which can be purchased through our school, and a mouthguard (optional but highly recommended). We also recommend getting grappling shorts or pants, as well as a rash guard or t-shirt to wear under your gi and for no-gi training.
