We will walk to the park at 9:10am This is a fantastic class that combines dance, Pilates, and yoga to improve overall physical fitness, flexibility, and mental well-being. A breakdown of the benefits includes improved body awareness and connection to the body, increased strength and tone in the muscles, enhanced core strength and stability plus relief from lower back pain, better flexibility and range of motion, a reduced risk of injury and of course, mindfulness and relaxation. Class Structure: Begin with a gentle warm-up and stretching sequence to get the blood flowing and prepare the muscles for exercise. Engage in low-impact exercises that combine dance and Pilates movements to strengthen the muscles and improve overall physical fitness. I incorporate low-impact cardio exercises to get the heart rate up and improve cardiovascular health. Practice classic standing ballet and yoga poses to improve balance, flexibility, and overall physical fitness. Finish the class with a meditative stretching sequence that focuses on longer holds to improve flexibility, reduce muscle tension, and promote mindfulness. What to Expect: A fun and energetic class that's open to all levels, including beginners. No dance experience is necessary. Bring a water bottle and either a mat, towel, or a blanket to class.
