And postpartum, attending to her online Mom and baby yoga and mindfulness series made me feel better about my postpartum body, plus the mindfulness part, her talks and the circle of moms sharing their similar but still unique experiences gave me new perspectives, to look at my challenges differently, more embracing, grounding and loving.
I really love her approach and find it super helpful to get moving in the post partum period especially
I loved absorbing her knowledge on the benefits of prenatal yoga and she included presentations from different health professionals which I found very interesting.
Her online library of prenatal yoga classes and meditation are invaluable tools that greatly helped me prepare for my natural, physiological birth.
In the months leading up to my VBAC, Lauren supported my partner and myself in the mental and physical preparation we needed.
We also loved spending time together after our son was born, at home, asking all of the questions we hadn’t initially thought about and going through some of our challenges related to caring for a newborn.
As my baby was breach, I had to have a c section and she stood by me every step of the way and helped me work through some challenging decisions/situations.
My pregnancy and birth were going story book perfect - no complications throughout pregnancy, no anxiety, no induction, strong contractions once they began, no pain medication in labour - until the birth took an urgent turn.
I want to really thank Lauren, because taking this teacher training in this specific moment in my life has helped me transition into motherhood, embrace my body and my baby, and give into the full experience of being pregnant.
At the time I had also considered hiring a doula to help me through the birth process since I had dealt with a lot of anxiety during my pregnancy (it was my first) and wanted someone to help me navigate the information overload, expectations, and general concerns that I had as I entered the third trimester.
