Akasha Yoga Montreal

Yoga can help you cope with the physical and emotional changes experienced throughout pregnancy, and it can also prepare both body and mind for birth. Within the comforting and supportive environment of our group classes, you are invited to develop community and friendship, to connect with people who are on a similar path as yours. Weekly classes always begin with a short discussion on a topic related to pregnancy, birth, or the postpartum period. Yoga practice then focuses on postures that aim to help strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, keep the body flexible and alleviate many common discomforts of pregnancy. You will also learn breathing techniques throughout class that you will be able to use during labor for pain management. Prenatal/postnatal yoga is open to all, no prior yoga...

Sentiment Analysis
Best place ever very real and consistent.
Love this studio and its fabulous teachers and community.
I am always reminded to enjoy the process, to be curious instead of afraid of exploring new positions, and to ground myself in self love.
The schedule is convenient.
The teacher I had was simply magical with her professionalism, how she is very present with each of her students and accompanies you with her words which really allow you to achieve something very unexpected (a place where we are very zen )
However, during and after pregnancy I could not do my usual activities and fortunately I discovered pre- and postnatal yoga with Alex Negru.
Homey and clean yoga studio 5minutes away from Lionel Groulx metro station.
Alex is great and her prenatal yoga classes are so good, from the very beginning of pregnancy.
100% recommend this studio!
I love the Balance Vinyasa class, as do many others, but unfortunately the class gets so packed, people bump into each other a lot the minute we do floor work, and any cobra means having someone else's feet about 5 inches from your face.
