Have you ever been intimidated by contemporary floorwork or wanted to explore its possibilities? Then you’re in the right place. In this workshop, Ali will deliver a comfortable introduction to floorwork to become familiar with the sensation of dancing close to the ground. You will learn to melt into the floor and use it to your advantage for rolls, fluidity and seamless transitions to standing. Explore your creativity and let the floor be your guide! Let’s learn how to make friends with the floor :) Long tops and pants are encouraged to provide comfort and coverage during floor-based movements. You are welcome to bring knee pads but they are not required. We will finish the class with learning a short piece of floor work choreography to really bring the workshop skills together!
