The Murder Room by Jack Sharkey is a comic murder mystery concerning newlyweds Edgar and Mavis, set in 1930s England. Someone is quite possibly murdered, except the body has disappeared. Or has it? The housekeeper is unconcerned or possibly just disconnected, which does not help the unfocussed constable. And the estranged daughter and her new fiancé arrive just as things heat up. Somebody did something to someone, but who did what to whom?
